Who are the artists?Chrysalis is an organization providing services to people with developmental disabilities. These artists are clients of Chrysalis who attend our day program and work in the Art Studio.

Who runs the art studio?Art program is one of the signature on-site programs offered at Chrysalis. The art studio is run by Chrysalis art committee members and staff. We also foster relationship with other studios and organizations so our artists can participate in the classes and workshop in the community.

What type of art do you create in the art studio?Although our main focus is drawing and painting on paper and/or canvas, we also encourage art experiments and introduce new mediums to our artists including collage, tile, pebble art, plexiglas, and mixed media. Photography is a new addition that our artists are exploring and enjoying working on.

How to purchase artwork? There are several ways to make a purchase. Our biggest event is the Chrysalis annual art show where you can view the most recent artworks and make a purchase on the scene. Or you can browse on the website and contact us to make a request. If you see our paintings displayed in the community, such as Canadian Sports Hall of Fame, you can contact us to make an arrangement to purchase. And like always, you are very welcome to visit the Chrysalis office to view the paintings displayed throughout our building and purchase the ones you like. We accept cash or E-transfer. 70% of the sale proceeds goes to the artist and 30% goes back to the studio to support its operation.
